When do I book my paint job?

Once you choose your painter, it's best to book them straight away so you can choose times that are convenient to you. Professional painting businesses are always taking new bookings and can often be booked 3-4 months in advance.
How long will it take to paint my house, apartment, office, etc?

It depends on the size and current condition of your home / premises. Obviously the bigger the house is the longer it will take to paint. The number of walls, number and type of windows, number of frames and doors, height of ceilings and number of painters will affect the number of days it will take to complete the job. Also, if the surfaces are in poor condition, then a lot of time is required to get them ready for painting. If woodwork is stained, a coat of primer is essential prior to painting. All of these situations affect the time it takes to paint a house. An average sized, 3-bedroom, single storey house in relatively good condition will take 5 – 7 days to be painted internally. Exterior painting depends on all the above as well as whether it’s clad in weatherboards, stucco, rendered etc.

How do I prepare my home for painting?

Clearing the area as much as possible means the painters don’t have to spend valuable time moving things around. However, we understand that moving furniture is physically demanding, especially if you need help, so we ask our clients to move what they can and leave the heavy items for us. We usually move everything to the middle of the room and cover the whole thing with plastic sheets. We will paint all ceilings first and then move on to woodwork and walls. If you’d like to have all surfaces (ceilings, wall, and woodwork) of a particular room done first, please let us know in advance.
